Rear Derailleur- SRAM Red

Stem- Bontrager RaceXXXLite carbon – 90mm / 12 degree

Saddle – Cobb V-Flow (stealth version)

This bike is ridiculously light and fast.  The original Dura Ace build was Trek’s lightest and most expensive bike that year (2007 @ $7500) and was a fully pro race ready machine based completely on Trek’s Tour de France winning team bikes.  This bike will be a bit better than that stock / factory build.

This bike is a custom build of that top-of-the-line, race-ready frameset–and SRAM’s ultra-light SRAM Red, race-ready groupset.

At 52cm, this bike is ideal for riders in the 5’2″ to 5’7″ range.

The bike in its current form / build has zero miles on it.  We bought it from the previous owner–who had set it up as a TT / Ironman bike–with a mixed bag of components on it.  We stripped the bike down completely (to the frame) and cleaned and inspected every nook and cranny thoroughly, then built it back up with full SRAM Red parts (that we had in the shop) from various other builds / bikes that we’ve modified / parted out recently–and some parts we ordered off eBay to complete the build.

As with all of our new rebuilds, the cables and housings are all new, the bar tape is new, the saddle is new, and the chain and cassette are newer with plenty of life left.

Wheels are currently Giant SLR carbon but  could be anything from Bontrager RaceXLites to Mavic Ksyrium SL’s to Mavic Cosmic Carbones–depending on the price point you need to be in.  (We have TONS of great wheels… so, plenty of options there.)

You can even buy the bike without any wheels… if you have your own… or want to buy something specific yourself.

These bikes are EXTREMELY rare… because they were so expensive new.  And we’ve actually never seen this exact colorway in person before this one.  Only a photo or two of similar frames on weight weenie sites.  (The OCLV55 frames are so incredibly light that they are frequent weight weenie projects.  We’ve seen one of these frames fully built up at only +/- 14 lbs.)  And we’re bought and sold a LOT of Madones over the years.

This bike is easily two or three times the bike (for the same money) you’d spend at a local bike shop today for a new, entry level carbon bike.

We think some red anodized 18 gram SupaCaz water bottle cages would look smokin’ hot on this bike:

Fly Cage Ano – Red

Almost a perfect 5 out of 5 stars with actual owners / riders / reviewers:
